A still life presented in the context of the mythology between Hades and Persephone. Persephone stands tall as a bust statue with a head of flowers, draped in an intricate fabric. In front of her sits the ram skull, Hades, with a heart carved into his right antler. The subtle details show the intricacies of their relationship, with two chalices while one is fallen over, and the two roses by the couple. It is an allegory for the story of their relationship.
